How to Clean Vertical Blinds
Vertical blinds are a classic window treatment that fit larger sized windows or patio doors. For the most part, you do not have to remove the blinds to clean them. After reading our guide below, your vertical blinds will be looking their best.
Dusting Vertical Blinds
Dusting vertical blinds with a feather duster or microfiber cloth will do wonders in removing dust. While dusting, use a vertical motion to wipe away any debris on both sides of a slat. You can purchase a cloth for cleaning here: https://blindshadeparts.com/micro-fiber-towel/
Vacuuming Vertical Blinds
For a deeper and more thorough cleaning, clean the fabric with the brush attachment on your vacuum. Use a vertical motion to clean both sides of the slat.
Washing Vertical Blinds
You may opt to wipe the vanes of the vertical blind by using a cloth and soapy water. Be sure to gently dab the stain and spot clean other areas. Never scrub the blind as this will ruin the fabric.
If you are having problems with your vertical blinds' vanes, we have a guide that goes over how to fix a vane, how to remove and replace one, and more. You can read our repair guide here.
