Remove Wrinkles from Shades
It is not uncommon for shades to get wrinkled. High humidity, being raised for awhile, and being exposed to open air can make a shade susceptible to folds, creases, and wrinkles. To get your shades looking like new, we have a few tips that will help remove those pesky wrinkles.
Steam your shades
Handheld steamers can work to get wrinkles out of shades. Roller shades, roman shades, and cellular shades can benefit from getting steamed to remove wrinkles. Be sure to steam the entire fabric/material to ensure that you get rid of all the folds.
Use wrinkle removing products
Wrinkle sprays or other chemicals can aid in removing wrinkles. However, be careful that these products do not damage your shade. Check the instructions and if necessary test a small patch on your shade with the wrinkle removal product and see if it damages the shade or discolors it.
Lower your shades and leave them down
To naturally remove wrinkles, keep your shade lowered for an extended period of time. Keeping them lowered will help the fabric extend - something a shade cannot do if it is constantly being raised and lowered.
These tips are a good starting point to remove any wrinkles or folds from your shades!
