Remove Wrinkles and Creases from Drapes and Curtains
Everyone wants wrinkle-free drapes and curtains but it can be tricky removing them without damaging them. This article will go over a few simple quick solutions on how to remove those pesky creases from your drapes or curtains.
- You can use a washer and dryer. Use a short gentle wash cycle to wash the drapes and and dry on a cool/permanent press cycle. Throw in some towels to make sure the drapes do not stick together.
- You can also just use a dryer. Use a cool or permanent press cycle and dry with wet/damp towels.
- A fabric steamer is another good way to remove wrinkles. Work the steamer bottom to top slowly and gently across the fabric. Be sure to steam from the underside of the wrinkles in the fabric.
- A standard iron can also work to remove wrinkles. Be sure to use on the lowest setting to ensure you do not damage the fabric. Another way is to spray water over the fabric and to iron out the wrinkles on a low setting.
As always, be sure to read any manufacturer's instructions or guides to make sure that your method will not damage the fabric of your curtain or drapes.
