Programming Somfy RTS Motor 

If you are having problems programming your Somfy RTS motor, read the guide below! 

If you just received your motor, the motor is most likely in factory mode and has no limits set. To start, press both the up and down buttons simultaneously until the shade moves. This movement is called a "jog". 

Make sure the shade is moving in the correct direction as dictated by the remote button. Press the down button to see if the shade is moving down. If not, reverse the direction of the shade by holding the "my" button for two seconds until the shade jogs. Double check to see if the shade moves down when down arrow is pressed.

Set Upper Limit on Somfy RTS Motor

The upper limit of the shade is the position where the shade is at the most desired upward position. Once the shade is in this position, press both the "my" button and down button together until the shade moves downward. Once the shade is in the lowest desired limit, press the "my" button. 

Set Lower Limit on Somfy RTS Motor

For the lower limit, press the "my" button and the up button simultaneously while the shade reaches the desired upper limit that was set before. 

Confirm Limits on Somfy RTS Motor

To confirm both limits, press and hold the "my" button for two seconds and the shade will jog. This will confirm both the upper and lower stop points.  

Exit programming mode by using a paper clip to press the programming button on the back of the remote control. Hold the button until the shade jogs. The remote is now in user mode. The shade should now move up until it reaches the upper limit, and move down until the lower limit has been reached. To stop the shade, press the "my" button.

Set Favorite Position on Somfy RTS Motor

The motor and remote also have the ability to set a "favorite" position. Simply put the shade in the preferred position and hold the "my" button until shade jogs.
