Blind Parts: Roller Shades Parts and Diagram

Roller shades are one of the most popular window treatments for both residential and commercial purposes. Their customization is unmatched compared to other window treatments all while being very cost effective. They have the potential to fit the style and look of any room all while blocking out light and maintaining privacy. Although roller shades are reasonably low maintenance, every now and then you will need to buy some roller shade parts. 

Use the below guide to identify which roller shade parts you might need repaired or replaced! 

(Note: this is a general roller shade diagram and may or may not contain all the parts of your specific roller shade. For example, if you have a motorized roller shade, these diagrams will be lacking the motor, crown/drive, etc.)

Parts of a Roller Shade

• End Cap - The end cap will be present on both sides of a roller shade. End caps are used to cover the outside ends of the mounting brackets.They are used to conceal the brackets and provide a cleaner look

• Mounting Bracket - The mounting bracket will be present on both sides of a roller shade. These brackets are used to attach the roller shade to a surface for a secure proper installation.

• Chain Guide - The Chain Guide holds blind cords or chain loops against a wall or window frame for safety reasons.

• Chain Guide Cover -This is used to cover the chain guide.

• Roller Shade Clutch - The clutch is used to raise and lower the roller shade. Typically, it is operated manually via a metal or plastic bead chain.

• End Plug -The end plug is on the opposite end of the roller shade clutch. The end plug fits into the mounting bracket for installation.

• Square Fascia -Fascia is used to conceal and protect the mounting hardware and the front and top of the roller shade tube.
