Rewinding Hunter Douglas Motor for Cordless Shades

This guide will go over how to rewind the spring loaded motor for cordless shades and blinds. The three colors for the motors are black, grey, and beige. The method to rewire them is the same regardless of the color of the motor. You will need a #2 Robertson square tip screwdriver and a motor lock. Typically the motor comes with the the motor lock.

Place the Robertson screwdriver into the hole of the motor and turn it until you've reached 40 revolutions. When your motor makes a distinct noise, stop turning. If you continue to turn, this can damage the motor. From there, take the motor lock to lock it and take out the tool.
